Now, we are producing 4.5 lakhs PPE kits per day. Before the lockdown, the doubling rate of cases was 3 days, now it is 17 days. Before lockdown, we had a testing capacity of 1500 samples, now we are testing 1.5 lakhs samples, daily.""Before the lockdown, we had not any dedicated COVID hospital, now we have 1000 COVID dedicated hospital, 2 lakhs beds, 30,000 ICU units. We have done all this during the lockdown time," he added.Nadda said BJP is now using digital tools to reach out to the people amid the situation arising due to coronavirus."Till now we have done 35 virtual rallies, and today we are organizing 36th rally in Assam. Crore of people directly connect to us using digital platforms," he said."When the lockdown was imposed, we all thought about how will activities of the party go on? how will we serve crores of people? Will the party also undergo a lockdown? But I am happy that party used digital medium to encourage lakhs of workers to serve crores of people," he added.BJP president lauded the decisions taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the fight against COVID 19."When Modi took the decision of lockdown, 'A bold step has been taken at the right time', said WHO about lockdown in India. PM Modi announced Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY) and United Nation said that it is one of the perfect packages has been given by PM Modi. Photo: PTI.India ''s finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced last week that India ''s private sector will play a key role in augmenting India ''s space programme, and that the government intends to share the facilities of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) with the private sector. This announcement was part of the Narendra Modi government ''s call for new and bold reforms in an effort to promote its #8216;self reliant India ' mission. It is the fourth segment of the Rs 20 lakh crore Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan special economic stimulus.
Not entirely. While the PM did not give the details, he did specify that this calculation of Rs 20 lakh crore includes what the government has already announced and the steps taken by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). This means the total amount of additional money that is over and above what the government would have spent even in the absence of a Covid crisis will not be Rs 20 lakh crore. It would be substantially less. That s because the PM has included the actions of RBI, India s central bank, as part of the government s fiscal package, even though only the government controls the fiscal policy and not the RBI (which controls the monetary policy). Government expenditure and RBI s actions are neither the same nor can they be added in this manner. Nowhere in the world is this done, clarifies Prof NR Bhanumurthy of NIPFP.

A clear conversation and education on menstrual hygiene is a must for every adolescent girl. With heavy hormonal activity and puberty, the young girls are often vulnerable and impressionable. As a result, they hesitate to talk openly about the issue and end up using unhygienic methods during their menstrual cycles, making them highly prone to infections and diseases. Apart from the physical harm, they also go through mental strain by thinking themselves to be dirty and undeserving while on period.Understanding the sensitivity of the situation, the state of Bihar has initiated a project the Bihar State Project Education Council and Sarv Siksha Abhiyan, where the schools will have weekly classes on menstruation. The project is a part of Mukhyamantri Kishori Yojana, in which each institute will have a class every Saturday on periods where students will be taught about correct ways to use sanitary napkins, hygiene, reproductive health, etc. These classes, in the first phase of the project, will be conducted only for the female students in the senior secondary classes but in later phases, the project is expected to rope in younger girls and moving on the plan of the Department of Education, Bihar is also to sensitise boys about puberty related issues.

Shedding lights on the Central government schemes like 'Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Swachch Bharat Abhiyan and Pradhan Mantri Mudra Loan Yojana (PMMY), the Prime Minister said the government had created schemes to improve standard of living, especially women who have immensely benefitted with 'Ujjwala Yojana'. "A study has confirmed that fuel inflation has declined in areas where the scheme was rolled out," he said, adding that the government had created 5 crore bathrooms under Swachch Bharat Abhiyan.
