With this unit, the library proposes to undertake the phase wise digitization of historical manuscripts, rare books, old serials, archival newspapers in Arabic, Persian, Urdu and English languages at a larger scale. "In view of the prevailing security situation in Sri Lanka in the aftermath of terror attacks on 21 April 2019, Indian nationals intending to travel to Sri Lanka are advised not to undertake non essential travel, " the MEA said in its advisory.

ISRO To Launch Another Navigation SatelliteThe Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is set to launch satellite IRNSS 1H to replace the faulty IRNSS 1A in the Indian Navigation Satellite Constellation (NavIC). The satellite could be launched in March end or April. NavIC, however, is already functioning as four satellites are sufficient for navigation. Six functioning satellites are already in place, ISRO chairman K Sivan has said.
In a communication sent to Naik;s lawyer in Mumbai, the Interpol has said that it has deleted data with regard to Naik from its records as the same had been contested by Naik. Interpol stated: ;After a thorough examination of elements before it, the Commission found that the data contested raised questions as to compliance with applicable rules.; Accordingly, the data was deleted on November 9. In a meeting held at the Interpol recently, they have decided against issuing RCn for lack of a chargesheet. It s no setback. Now our chargesheet is filed. We will send a fresh request. We are sure Interpol will issue RCN this time, a home ministry official said.
Hindustan Times is in possession of the Interpol letter, dated December 11, 2017, which could prove to be a major roadblock for India 's attempt to extradite Naik. One of the Home Ministry officials had told the Indian Express that the Union cabinet had approved the proposal to declare the Islamic Research Foundation as an 'unlawful association;. The cabinet had done so under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act for 5 years. The Home Ministry had found that preacher Zakir Naik, who headed the Islamic Research Foundation had allegedly addressed many provocative speeches and had engaged himself in terrorist propagandas.The Maharashtra Police had also been reported to have registered criminal cases gainst Zakir Naik. Naik had been allegedly involved in radicalising youths and tempting them to join terrorist activities, the Indian Express reported. The cabinet officials, according to IE, had claimed that Zakir Naik had transferred funds to the Peace TV for the creation of objectionable programmes, most of which had been made in India and had alleged hate speeches delivered by Naik. The official had claimed that Naik had urged all Muslims to become terrorists. Naik had come under the scanner of the police and the government after Bangladesh Newspaper had reported Rohan Imtiaz, one of the propagators of the July 1 Dhaka terror attack used to quote Naik.
In an open letter to India, released on Friday through his spokesperson, Naik said that IRF was banned without any agency questioning him and that the move was an attack on Muslims, peace, democracy and justice ."...not a single time was I questioned or given a chance to explain.
