It 's been an interesting and unusually busy week thus far for Apple. In the span of a few days, Apple unveiled a brand new iPad Air and iPad Mini along with a revamped iMac lineup. What 's more, there are now rumblings that Apple may release a refreshed iPod Touch later in the week. With Apple seemingly on a hardware release binge, there 's a good chance the company is getting some of its relatively minor hardware announcements out of the way before its special event next week.Though Apple 's special media event mdash; which will kick off next Monday mdash; will reportedly focus on media related endeavors, there is also a chance we might see some new hardware in the form of AirPods 2 and, believe it or not, the long delayed AirPower charging mat Apple originally unveiled all the way back in September of 2018.

If research commissioner Carlos Moedas gets weary of comparisons between the EU s innovation system and high performers elsewhere, it is because the stories he hears so often have the same ending: someone in Europe has a brilliant invention, but the opportunity and the spoils are captured by others, usually in the US.The commissioner wants his new body, the European Innovation Council, to flip the script, and lay down foundations to help Europe build bigger companies and compete successfully with the rest of the world.
Trump accused #x27;SNL #x27; of colluding with Russia and the internet tore him to pieces.Kimberly DinaroMar 18, 2019@5:01 PMAdvertising Our president is at it again, not understanding how comedy works. Trump has been incredibly clear about his disdain for "Saturday Night Live " for awhile now on Twitter, but his most recent attack on the sketch show is truly unhinged. While it #x27;s true that comedians take every opportunity they can to roast people in positions of power and the president usually gets burned, Trump has to understand what makes him so easy to mock. He #x27;s a former reality TV star who grew up a millionaire and then put his name on a bunch of golden towers to make more millions. He #x27;s so much a caricature of a wealthy man who hates change and poor people that he #x27;s essentially a McDonald #x27;s fueled Scrooge. Maybe Obama didn #x27;t have as many "one sided " sketches because doing presidential things isn #x27;t as funny to put in a comedy as, I don #x27;t know, having an affair with a porn star?
Released on artist Aleksi Briclot s Instagram, we get a very different take on the Vers character. Looking very alien and nearly void of her humanity, this visage would have helped solidify the backstory created by the Kree that Vers was of Kree decent, and distance her more from her actual human roots.Another early exploration for Vers (Carol Danvers) as an elite Kree pilot. For Captain Marvel the movie. When I m doing concept proposals I m usually trying some iterations close to what we know and we see before about the character but also offering some weirder fresher surprising versions. This is certainly one. Here I was trying to hide the human root of the character like it s looking like an alien and then Tadaaaa It s a human face With Brie Larson features

President Vladimir Putin has marked the fifth anniversary of what Moscow considers the day Crimea became part of Russia by visiting Ukraine's Black Sea peninsula, as NATO, the United States, and the European Union again condemned what they called the "illegal " land grab. On March 18, 2014, Putin signed a treaty that Moscow claims made Ukraine's Crimea region part of Russia, after Russian forces seized control of the peninsula and organized a referendum that was not recognized by the international community. Ukraine and the West have slammed Russia's move as an "illegal " annexation, leading to sanctions against Russian individuals and entities. The annexation of Crimea and Russia's role in the ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine, where government forces have been fighting against Russia backed separatists since April 2014, sent ties between Moscow and the West plunging to post Cold War lows. The conflict in eastern Ukraine has left around 13,000 people dead, some 30,000 injured, and uprooted well over 1 million Ukrainian citizens, according to UN and Ukrainian officials. In Washington, Kurt Volker, the U.S. special envoy for Ukraine, called the fifth anniversary of Russia's annexation of Crimea a "sad day. " "This is an illegal occupation, an illegal seizure of territory, and we fundamentally stand behind Ukraine in insisting that its territorial integrity be restored, " Volker told journalists. In a statement, NATO described the annexation of Crimea as "a serious breach of international law and a major challenge to Euro Atlantic security. " The Western military alliance's North Atlantic Council criticized Russia's "ongoing and wide ranging military build up " in Crimea, and raised concerns over its "efforts and stated plans for further military build up " in the Black Sea region. The allies also accused the "Russian de facto authorities in illegally annexed Crimea " of carrying out human rights abuses against "Ukrainians, the Crimean Tatars, and members of other local communities, " including "extrajudicial killings, abductions, enforced disappearances, violence, arbitrary detentions, arrest, and torture. "They said that there would be no return to "business as usual " with Moscow until there was a "a clear, constructive change in Russia's actions. "
