Reliance Jio, the Reliance Industries owned 4G only telco has introduced a new app on Google Play Store allowing users to make group conference calls over VoLTE. Only available for Jio subscribers the Jio Group Talk allows for calling up to ten people at once, and comes with features like lecture mode, the ability to mute participants, and more. The app is currently in trial mode, and a commercial version for the public will soon be made available. The device supports HD voice calling and as we mentioned, is available to only those that have a Reliance Jio SIM on their phone.The Jio Group Talk is available only on Android devices for now, and isn't listed on the App Store for iOS users. The app is listed to be a trial version, which means that it isn't a full featured version. However, if you have a Jio SIM, you can use the app on your Android device. Once you download the app from Google Play, users will need to sign in using their Jio number and enter an OTP that is sent for verification. Once the registration process is complete, users will be able to use the app. Ensure that your Jio SIM is active, and the SMS and calling facility is turned on.
After bringing the JioRail app to use IRCTC 's reserved ticket booking service on the JioPhone and JioPhone 2, Reliance Jio has now announced the launch of the JioGroupTalk app on Android phones. The JioGroupTalk app can be used to make group calls to your friends and family through VoLTE.

As per the data published by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) on MySpeed Portal, Jio registered an average 4G download speed of 18.8 megabits per second (Mbps), compared to Airtel;s at 9.5 Mbps.The 4G performance of Vodafone and Idea were measured separately by TRAI, given the merger of the two companies is still underway. The two telecom operators recorded an average download speed of 6.7 Mbps and 5.5 Mbps on 4G network respectively in January.
A two month study was conducted by Tutela on over nine devices to determine the network experiences of users in India. The study found that networks like Jio with ”high basic consistent quality scores ” are optimised for apps and services like WhatsApp, Facebook, email, VOIP calls and web browsing. Jio also scored the lowest average upload speed of 3.8 Mbps. It however offered consistent 4G connectivity which resulted in basic usage of 96% throughout.The recent speedtest report by Ookla also measured 4G speeds for top four telcos. Here, Jio registered a total score of 7.11 for its 4G LTE network, and Airtel led with a speed score of 11.23.

Vodafone has introduced a new prepaid recharge for its new customers. The new First Recharge (FRC) pack of Rs. 351 has reportedly been launched offering a validity of 56 days, and comes with calling and SMS benefits only. This pack doesn't offer any data benefit, and is only live and applicable for all new subscribers of Vodafone. The telecom operator is also offering unlimited calling benefits with this plan with no FUP limit, just like Reliance Jio.The new Vodafone FRC Rs. 351 prepaid recharge comes with unlimited calling without any FUP limit, and 100 SMS messages per day for a validity of 56 days. This pack doesn't come with any data benefit and new subscribers will have to buy a data pack separately. Details of this new pack was reported by Telecom Talk, and the report notes that the price of this prepaid recharge may vary with every circle. The pack reportedly also comes with free Vodafone Play subscription. It is unclear when exactly Vodafone started offering the Rs 351 FRC, but it seems to have been available to the consumers since December 2018.

In its statement on Saturday, Edelweiss Group strongly stated that the allegations levelled by Reliance Group are entirely unfounded, baseless and false."Over the last several months, Edelweiss Group has reached out numerous times to Reliance Group to address concerns on shortfall in margins (via regular margin call notices) and resultant fall in collateral valuation. Despite our best efforts, not only did Reliance Group fail to address any of the concerns raised by Edelweiss Group, but also continued to breach contractual obligations," the financial services company said.
While lenders sold Reliance Power's 21.05 crore shares worth Rs 263.77 crore, 75 lakh shares worth Rs 108 crore were sold in Reliance Infrastructure. Another 8.98 crore shares worth Rs 52.75 crore were sold in Reliance Communications and 1.03 crore shares worth Rs 126.94 crore sold in Reliance Capital. In total, 31.81 crore shares of Anil Ambani led Reliance Group have been sold for a value of Rs 552.17 crore.
