An iPhone with a foldable display may become a reality, if a patent filing is any indication. With Android smartphone makers going all in with the idea of foldable smartphones, it appears that Apple doesn't want to be left behind. A patent application filed by the Cupertino based iPhone maker suggests that the company might be experimenting with multiple designs for a foldable iPhone. The sketches in the patent application indicate that both inward and outward folding designs might be under consideration by Apple for a possible foldable iPhone. There is also a mention of a double folding smartphone design that will create a triple stacked form factor.
"Despite the passage of over 18 months, lenders have received zero proceeds from the proposed asset monetisation plans, and the overall debt resolution process is yet to make any headway. Accordingly, the board decided that the company will seek fast track resolution through NCLT. The board believes this course of action will be in the best interests of all stakeholders, ensuring comprehensive debt resolution in a final, transparent and time bound manner within the prescribed 270 days," the company statement said.Taking the NCLT approach raises doubts over the telco's ability to conclude the Rs 25,000 crore Jio deal. It has already sold Rs 5,000 crore worth of nodes and fibre assets to Jio. Once the bankruptcy proceedings begin, RCom Jio deal would most likely be annulled, and the assets would be monetised as per the rules outlined by NCLT.

Samsung could be working on a new way to go bezel less on smartphones and not have to rely on the infamous notch to house front facing camera sensors. The better part of 2018 saw almost all smartphone manufacturers resorting to the notch to get a near bezel free look on their smartphone displays, but Samsung, with the Galaxy S9 and Note 9, did not succumb to the trend. Some manufacturers like Vivo and Oppo, and soon Xiaomi with the Mi Mix 3, even adopted slider mechanisms to pop the front camera out, but it seems like Samsung has its own solution in mind when it comes to placing front facing cameras in a way that the display still gets maximum real estate. During a presentation at the Samsung OLED forum, the company reportedly detailed a roadmap for smartphone design in 2019. Looking ahead, Samsung said that it is working on under screen sensors, which include fingerprint as well as camera sensors. Yes, Samsung is looking to place the front facing camera under the display, and it could be the company 's way of avoiding the notch completely in a bid to go bezel less. Since the roadmap was just recently shared, it is unlikely that the Galaxy S10, which is expected to launch in February 2019, will get the new in display cameras. Apart from in display cameras, Samsung also outlined plans for screen sound technology or as the company reportedly calls it lsquo;Sound on Display ', which could see speakers built into the screen as well. The South Korean electronics major also highlighted a display feature called Haptics on Display to allow for vibration from the screen. Word is that Samsung has a few of prototypes using the in displau camera technology and it is expected that smartphones bearing these in display cameras will start launching sometime in 2020. Great news Samsung established the direction of mobile phone design in 2019 On October 18th, Samsung Display invited about 20 customers to hold the quot;2018 Samsung OLED Forum quot; at the Shenzhen Marriott Hotel in China. A decompiled version of the SystemUI APK also contains empty ;dreamliner; information forms with fields for manufacturers, indicating that the codename may pertain to a new product category or a single product that won;t necessarily be produced by Google but designed and labeled as being ;made; by the firm, similar to the Pixel smartphones. The deeper wireless charging integration Android P is set to debut later this year will come in the form of a new device class in the ;Connected Devices; menu which will specifically manage wireless chargers. The stock version of Android was capable of recognizing such devices since Android 4.2 Jelly Bean hit the stable channel in late 2012 but its abilities in the space remain rather limited. The last device from Google to support wireless charging was the Motorola produced Nexus 6 which was released in late 2014 after the company was already sold to Lenovo, with the Nexus 6P and 5X both lacking that feature the following years. Handsets from the Nexus program also aren 't considered to be entirely "made by Google " as the Pixel lineup is now being advertised even though Alphabet 's subsidiary itself still isn 't handling any large scale manufacturing, nor is it expected to start doing so in the near future. While the first two generations of the Pixel handsets didn 't support wireless charging, the upcoming one is said to feature an entirely glass back, so coupled with the code outlined above, many industry watchers are now speculating the feature will be making its way to the Pixel 3 product family. The new devices are expected to be announced in early fall, with the previous two iterations of the series both launching on October 4.
