While iOS devices that are compatible with the latest version of the mobile operating system from Apple get their software updates soon after release, it is a different story on the Android platform. Although the Google Pixel devices get their software updates soon after roll out of the newest version, other manufacturers usually take their time to get their updates ready. The latest in this list is Motorola, which has rolled out the Android 9.0 Pie update to two of its phone this week the Moto G6 Plus and Moto Z3 as per user reports. The rollout comes over five months after Google had unveiled the Android Pie. The software update for the Moto G6 Plus was first detailed in a post on Reddit for a device in Brazil, and spotted by GSMArena. Apart from this, Motorola has also put up the release notes of the update for the Moto Z3 on its official site. For the mid range Moto G6 Plus, the update to Android 9.0 Pie also brings the December Android security patch. For the Moto Z3, the update brings the January security patch, as well as support for 5G mobile connectivity through the 5G Moto Mod. Notably, it's uncertain as usual if this is just a 'soak test' by Motorola the company's term for a limited rollout to iron out bugs, but a wider rollout can be expected soon regardless.
The G Suite certification stands out a bit because it;s cheaper ($75) and far less technical than its counterparts in today;s release, but as Google notes, the overall idea here to address the ;cloud skills crisis.; The reason for the G Suite course, Google says, is that the ;key to a successful cloud transformation is developing skills throughout the organization.; To ensure this, the G Suite exam tests your knowledge in key features of Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive and other G Suite tools. If you;re highly technical, that may seem unnecessary, but for many, making the move from Office to G Suite is surely quite a challenge.The other exams, like the Cloud Developer certifications, test your ability to design, build, test, manage and secure applications on the Google Cloud Platform . They tend to cost around $200 and come in the form of multiple choice exams. To prepare for them, you can study with the help of both on demand and instructor led courses from Coursera and other Google partners.
Chanel held its Spring 2019 Couture show in Paris on Tuesday morning, making a splash with a poolside setting that was especially appealing, given that many of us are currently trying to cope with sub freezing temperatures. The French house routinely draws a slew of big name celebrities to its presentations, and its latest was no exception: Kristen Stewart, Sofia Coppola, Tilda Swinton, Pharrell, Tessa Thompson and Marion Cotillard -- among many other fashion folks -- comprised the front row, all clad in various Chanel pieces suited to their unique personalities and aesthetics.Thanks for watching Visit WebsiteIn the case of Stewart, that meant an unexpected (or perhaps expected, given that it apos;s Stewart) take on the classic Chanel tweed jacket and pearls -- specifically, she forwent a blouse beneath them. Also of note was the fact that as an ambassador for Chanel beauty, her makeup was on theme, mimicking the David Bowie inspired look the models wore down the runway. #xA0;

With the shutdown trudging on, it would be a bad look for Trump to hit the links and, Kimmel noted, the president hadn't played golf since late November making it the longest golf less streak in his presidential tenure. He appealed directly to the president."I know it doesn't mean much to Donald Trump that a bunch of Americans are being forced to work without paychecks, or that vital services like food inspection, TSA, anti terrorism efforts are being compromised" Kimmel said. "But I know what does matter to you. I know what you care about down to the bottom of your Kentucky fried little heart. And that is golf. Donald Trump has not been able to play a round of golf in 52 days. The only time the president gets to yell 'fore' now is when he tells his staff how many Whoppers he wants for lunch."
International Business Machines (IBM) is scheduled to report fourth quarter results on Tuesday, January 22. Analysts expect the company to report earnings of $4.84 per share on revenues of $21.76 billion. Investors continue to pin their hopes on the company s emerging technologies, dubbed strategic imperatives, which include its cybersecurity, analytics and cloud operations. At the end of the 12 month period ending the last reported quarter, strategic imperatives revenues jumped 13% year over year to $39.5 billion and accounted for almost 49% of its total revenue. Investors will be hoping that the unit surpasses the half way mark during the to be reported quarter. On a positive note, IBM is well positioned to achieve its target of $40 billion in revenues from strategic imperatives at the end of 2018. Some analysts believe IBM will take another year to overcome its sluggish performance trajectory as the growth provided by strategic imperatives will mostly be offset by forex headwinds. During the third quarter, currency fluctuations played spoilsport on Big Blue s top line, which declined 2% and missed estimates. Yet, the company has stubbornly held on its full year outlook of revenue increase and adjusted earnings of $13.80 per share. If the company pulls this off, it would award enough short term investor confidence. IBM is also seriously considering getting more invested in hybrid cloud business, which holds a lot of growth prospects in 2019. This is evident from IBM s recent purchase of Red Hat for $190 a share, and at a 63% premium to Red Hat s then closing price. Red Hat shareholders give green signal for acquisition by IBM The company is also jettisoning some of its software products for $1.8 billion, which will be absorbed by India based HCL, to keep its debt obligations under check. Slow transition of the company from legacy businesses to new fields of operations have already taken a toll on IBM. With no real end to the currency headwinds in sight, the transition phase is likely to continue for one more year. But for that, IBM first needs to instill investor confidence through its Q4 results. WEST WYOMING After searching relentlessly for her missing cat for two weeks, Joanne Austin was about to give up hope. Then a friend sent her a photo Friday of a West Wyoming public works employee who had just rescued a cat from a stormwater drain. The borough police department had posted the photo on Facebook, saying people had heard a cat meowing from underground and called 911. That was her Frezno, a rescue cat she adopted nine years ago. Only problem, she was told the frightened cat darted off after clawing the worker as he tried to get out of the storm drain on Washington Avenue. Austin cruised the neighborhood looking for Frezno with little luck. Moments after she pulled into her driveway to make a phone call, she heard tapping on her driver s side window. It was her neighbor who found the cat sitting on a porch in the neighborhood. She knocked on the window of my car and she had him. It was quite the reunion. I was in tears, Austin said. She took Frezno inside and he was happy to be home with his loved ones. He was at my feet and he would not leave, Austin said. As of Friday afternoon, Austin was taking Frezno to his veterinarian for a check up. The cat escaped two weeks ago while Austin s husband, Allen, was taking down Christmas decorations. We have been searching for him for two weeks. We were giving up a little. He was down in that storm drain while we were driving around the streets looking under everyone s bushes. People probably thought we were crazy. Thank God they found him. He could have died down there, Austin said. He mean so much to us. He was a rescue kitty. He s our little fur baby. West Wyoming police Chief Curtis Nocera said several students at a nearby bus stop heard the cat crying from down in the stormwater drain and called 911. He heard the cat upon his arrival and asked the borough s public works crews to try to rescue the cat. The workers removed the stormwater grate and entered the drain. The cat was about 15 feet down a pipe under the road. The worker used a laser to coax the cat to come to him, Nocera said. As the worker, John Scholz, was bringing the cat the surface, the cat clawed him and ran off. Luckily, the cat was located a few minutes later, Nocera said. The chief noted cats have been rescued from various places before, but this is a new one for him. I ve never taken a cat out of a sewer before, Nocera said.
