This was the second time when NASA #39;s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) passed over the area where Vikram Lander had a hard landing on September 7 and took images of the area.The images were taken on Monday in better lighting conditions compared to the last time when LRO clicked images on September 17.
"We are soon going to re map the city with the help of the latest satellite images from the Indian space agency, which used geospatial technology in mapping accurately all the properties that have come up exponentially over the last decade," a senior official told IANS. Though the civic body drew the maps based on satellite pictures a decade ago, the latest images reveal the fault lines in its property records, including open lung spaces and commercial residential buildings that have mushroomed in all its 198 wards due to reckless and explosive growth of the city.

Indian Space Research Organisation(ISRO) today released the first illuminated image of surface of moon taken by Imaging Infrared Spectrometer (IIRS) payload on board Chandrayaan 2. The space agency tweeted and shared the image on its account, See the first illuminated image of the lunar surface acquired by #Chandrayaan2 s IIRS payload. IIRS is designed to measure reflected sunlight from the lunar surface in narrow and contiguous spectral channels.

India wants to comply with global sanctions, including United States actions against Venezuela and Russia, but also needs to maintain its own strength and strategic interests, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman told the Reuters news agency in an interview.The US in January imposed the toughest sanctions yet on Venezuela's oil industry. The move has scared away some global customers, but with few alternative suppliers of heavy oil, Indian refiner Reliance Industries Ltd has been buying Venezuelan crude from Russian major Rosneft. New Delhi: The Department of Telecommunications is examining various options and parameters for reforming the architecture of spectrum auction and will hold inter ministerial consultations if the need arises, telecom secretary Anshu Prakash said on Wednesday. We are looking at all aspects such as number of spectrum payment instalments, rate of interest, spectrum holding caps," Prakash told reporters on the sidelines of the three day India Mobile Congress that started on Monday.
NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) has taken a fresh set of pictures under better lighting conditions of the area where the Indian moon lander Vikram likely ended up and experts will be making a rigorous search for it, according to LRO Project Scientist Noah Petro."The lighting conditions on Monday were much more favourable, (with) less shadow in the region" compared to last month, Petro told IANS on Wednesday.
